Day 6-cont.

Walking around the grounds. We started out from the playground and a group of kids walked by. They started yelling "I-EE". This is Deacon's Chinese nickname. The kid is a rock star on this campus. :) We were told he was a favorite around there. :) 

We asked how many kids were in the orphanage. Our guide said between 250-300.  90% of them are in foster care. So there were very few who stayed on the grounds. While we were there a woman came in wanting to adopt. She was a single lady who was about 36. Domestic adoption here is much easier than international. Our guide also told us there were 400 families in this province alone who are waiting to adopt. Most of them wanting healthy babies. That's why our little guy was available. 

We also asked about his surgery and were told that it was done at the hospital here. One of the best they said.
